For my Comet 572 class, I signed on to the wikispaces wiki site. One cool thing is my brother's nickname was Wiki, so I really needed to find out what a wiki is. I went to commoncraft's site and found a cool video that explains it.
Then I signed up for a wikispaces site. The process was pretty easy, nickname and email. The designs for the free space was very limited, but if you can pay $5 a month, you can up-grade to make the site more yours and less wikispaces'.
I can see myself using the wiki pages to let my students share their ideas, experiences, and work. The first subject I want them to write about is their recent week-long field trip to Old Town. Wish me luck!
